Years ago, I started taking photos of interesting juxtapositions of line, form, color, pattern, and texture that I noticed around me. The more photos I took, the more I noticed — and the more I noticed, the more I took.
I even bought a fancy camera, then immediately made myself feel bad for not knowing how to use it, so I went back to using my iPhone.
Eventually, I had more than enough photos to create a series. I probably would have let that series die in a drawer somewhere, but something kept nagging me to actually put it out into the world — which I find stressful, but also exciting.
Anyway, I hope looking at these pictures helps you notice more, too.
